Portable Desktop Copy Stand for Macro and Document Photography

Desktop tripods are convenient for photographing small objects. I use one that disassembles into small pieces, which allows me to copy historical documents quickly.

A drawback of the portable stand I use is stability. Unless you have a remote shutter release, the camera will shake too much to take good photos in low-light environments where flash is not allowed.
