Діти’ Столи

When my oldest entered first grade, I started looking for desks to replace the worktable we had been using for preschool and kindergarten crafts and projects. To convey high expectations and the importance of learning, this desk was to be a special area for my children's schoolwork.

This desk, just like every other tool, must be perfect for the job at hand. My ideal desk had to make efficient use of our living space, have a wide and deep desktop free of clutter, provide for storage on shelves and in drawers, be sized for children and adjustable to accommodate their growth, and look like a fine piece of furniture.

Unable to find my ideal desk, I decided to built it myself. This project shows how I planned, designed and constructed it.
